1. DO: Sell your prototype and get the students first! DON'T: Spend months creating a course you haven't sold yet!

2.  DO: Come up with your own unique approach to solving a problem 
DON'T: Record a giant library of videos explaining everything you know about the topic

3. DO: Pick one problem to solve
DON'T: Try to solve all the problems in one course

4. DO: Include a warm up period, live event and email marketing in your launch
DON'T: Count on a couple of social media posts to sell your course

Hi! I'm Gemma Bonham-Carter and I use my corner of the internet to teach entrepreneurs how to create, launch, and grow online course businesses. 

Fun facts about me:

-I have served over 8,000 students through my paid programs across hundreds of industries like health, wellness, real estate, marketing, the arts, and more. 

-I've got some street cred. I was named by Entrepreneur as a "Top 5 Women in Business in 2021" and have been featured in Inc., The Globe & Mail, BuzzFeed, Today.com and more. 

-I hit 6-figures in sales from my first successful course in 2017 before I even had 2k followers on Instagram. It was all thanks to my email list. 

-I live in Ottawa, Canada with my husband and two kids. My husband and I plan on living abroad at least once every decade. We lived in London, UK in 2010/2011... so we're due for another year away pretty soon 😉 

-I am currently using a big part of the profits from my business to invest in real estate. Aside from our personal home, since 2020 my husband and I have bought a duplex, a triplex, and are currently about to start renovating our biggest project yet - a mixed commercial residential building with 5 apartments and a commercial space. 

-I watch Real Housewives fanatically. Every. Single. Franchise. Come at me with a trivia question - I dare you. 

-My entire start in the online business world came from a home decor blog I began in 2010. You can actually still see it online (it's called The Sweetest Digs). That blogging experience taught me so much about content marketing.

-I LOVE interior decorating. I don't dive into it as much as I would like to. One day this might become a bigger thing again for me.

-I've travelled to over 35 countries and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. The travel bug runs deep.

-Yes, I am related to the actress.
